BUDIDAYA UDANG VANAME (Litopenaeus vannamei): TEKNOLOGI, PERTUMBUHAN, KELANGSUNGAN HIDUP DAN KELAYAKAN USAHA

Abstract

The production of whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) farming is determined by the
farming technology used. The cultivation technology used is related to the feasibility of the
cultivation company. This research aims to investigate the use of different livestock density, wheel and blower technologies in terms of growth (Mean Body Weight/MBW, Average Daily
Growth/ADG, size and Feed Conversion Rate/FCR), survival rate and business feasibility
(investment costs, production costs, Break Evant Point/BEP, Revenue Cost Ratio/ R/C ratio,
Benefit Cost Ratio/ B/C Ratio dan Payback Period/PP. The study was conducted over three
months in ponds in the Pandeglang area, Banten, Indonesia. The ponds observed were 3 plots
with an area of 2500 m2
. The study results showed that the highest growth in A2 ponds ranged
from 1.7 – 43.33 grams/tail for MBW, ranging from 0.06 – 1.12 grams/day for ADG, size
ranging from 588 – 23 (1.70 – 43.33 grams/tail). The FCR value was 1.8 and survival was
56.27%, while the highest biomass was obtained in pond A1 with 7478.2 kg. The feasibility of
the A1 pond activities is higher with variable investment cost components of IDR. 398.546.500,
production cost of IDR. 739.016.921, turnover of IDR. 961.766.878 and BEP of IDR.
98.822,83 for the price and IDR. 15.560,87. However, the best R/C Ratio, B/C Ratio and PP
values were achieved in pond A2. In general, farming Vannamei shrimp with a stocking density
technology of 161 ind/m3
, using 14 water wheels with a power of 1 HP (Horse Power) and 1
blower with a power of 1 HP (pond A2), gives the best results for growth, survival and business
feasibility.
