Correction and Retraction Policy
Jurnal Perikanan has a responsibility to maintain the accuracy and integrity of its published record.
A correction is issued when an article contains an error that requires amendment but does not invalidate the overall findings. Corrections may address errors in data, tables, figures, author names, affiliations, or other relevant information.
A retraction may be issued when evidence indicates that findings are unreliable because of serious errors or misconduct, including fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, data manipulation, or other ethical violations.
Before a decision is made, the Editorial Board will conduct an assessment and provide the authors with an opportunity to respond. The decision will take into account the seriousness of the error and its effect on the reliability of the article.
Retracted articles will remain part of the publication record but will be clearly marked or accompanied by a “Retracted” notice explaining the reason for the retraction. This policy is intended to ensure the traceability and integrity of the scholarly record.
Post-Publication Discussion
Jurnal Perikanan welcomes scholarly discussion following the publication of an article as part of its commitment to maintaining the quality and accuracy of the scientific record.
Readers may submit comments, scholarly criticism, requests for clarification, or reports of possible errors in an article to the Editorial Office. All feedback must be supported by verifiable arguments or evidence and communicated professionally.
The Editor will conduct an initial assessment of the information received and, where necessary, invite a response from the authors or consult reviewers or other experts.
If the discussion reveals an error that requires attention, the journal may issue a correction, clarification, or another appropriate editorial notice. If the identified problem substantially undermines the reliability of the article, retraction procedures may be initiated.
