Author Fees, Guidelines, and Criteria
Author Fees
Jurnal Perikanan seeks to ensure transparency regarding all fees associated with the publication process.
Article Processing Charge: IDR 200,000
Article Publication Charge: IDR 300,000
The publication fee is charged only for manuscripts that have been accepted for publication following completion of peer review and the editorial decision.
Payment of Processing fees does not influence manuscript acceptance decisions. All editorial decisions are made on the basis of article quality, relevance, and peer-review findings.
Author Guidelines
Authors intending to submit a manuscript to Jurnal Perikanan must ensure that their article complies with the Objectives and Scope, the accepted manuscript categories, and the journal’s prescribed format.
A manuscript must be original, previously unpublished, and not simultaneously submitted to another journal. The current submission requirements in the Jurnal Perikanan OJS also require authors to declare that their manuscript has not been published previously or is not under consideration elsewhere.
Manuscripts must be prepared using the official Jurnal Perikanan template and follow the structure prescribed for each article type. Research articles should include, at a minimum, a title, author information, abstract, keywords, introduction, research methods, results and discussion, conclusions, acknowledgments where applicable, and references.
Authors are responsible for data accuracy, the correct use of scientific nomenclature, the quality of tables and figures, the validity of analyses, and the accuracy of references. All sources used must be cited correctly and consistently.
All listed authors must meet the authorship criteria and approve the submitted manuscript. Authors must also disclose funding sources, conflicts of interest, and ethics approval where the research requires it.
Manuscripts are submitted through the Jurnal Perikanan OJS system. Articles that do not comply with the author guidelines or template may be returned to the authors before peer review.
Authorship Criteria
Authorship in Jurnal Perikanan must reflect genuine intellectual and scientific contributions to the work reported in the manuscript.
An individual may be listed as an author if they have made a substantial contribution to the conception or design of the research, data collection and/or analysis, interpretation of findings, manuscript preparation or critical scholarly revision, and have approved the final version of the article to be published.
All authors must be aware of and approve the submission of the manuscript to Jurnal Perikanan and be willing to take responsibility for their respective contributions. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all authors have agreed to the author list and order, affiliations, manuscript content, and final version of the article.
Contributions limited to securing funding, administrative support, providing access to facilities, or general supervision do not automatically qualify an individual for authorship. Contributors who do not meet the authorship criteria may be acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section.
Jurnal Perikanan does not permit guest authorship, gift authorship, or ghost authorship. Any addition, removal, or change in the order of authors following submission must be supported by a justifiable explanation and the agreement of all authors.
